On the StatPhys27 webpage, you will find general information about travelling to Argentina and eventual Visa requirements .
The city of San Carlos de Bariloche is located at about 1600km from Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.
Coming from abroad, you typically fly to Buenos Aires and then take a domestic flight to Bariloche. In this case, check if your connecting flight to Bariloche departs from the International Airport Ministro Pistarini (EZE, Ezeiza) or from the domestic/regional airport Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP). Please, be aware that those airports are located quite far apart in Buenos Aires, transfer buses take typically 1h20min to connect them. Nevertheless, in the case of an airport change, it is advisable to allow for a minimum flight connection time of 4hs due to in-airport delays (e.g., you will need to carry your luggage with you between airports) and possible traffic jams. Connections to Bariloche from El Palomar (EPA), a third airport in Buenos Aires, are also possible with low-cost companies, although we don't recommend them as a first option.
Alternatively, you might travel from Buenos Aires to Bariloche by bus. The trip takes typically 20 hours and is no much cheaper than economy domestic flights, though the long-distance buses are confortable in general. They depart from Retiro - Bus Station in the center of the city of Buenos Aires.
In addition, there are direct flights and buses arriving to Bariloche from other cities in Argentina (Córdoba, Rosario, Mendoza), buses from the neighbor Chilean cities of Osorno and Puerto Montt, and also some direct seasonal flights from Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
Transfers between airports in Buenos Aires
For the transfers between airports in Buenos Aires there are several remise car companies with stands inside the airport buildings (we suggest to avoid hiring cars outside the terminals). Manuel Tienda Leon has also a convenient bus service betwen AEP and EZE and also the city center. Check their schedule!
